Dear Haddonfield School District Family:
I am honored and excited to join the Haddonfield School District team as the new Director of Special Education starting on July 31, 2023.
I come to Haddonfield School District with over ten years of experience in the education field.
Before coming to Haddonfield, I held the positions of teacher, vice principal, and Director of Special Education. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and English from Rider University, a master’s degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University, and a doctorate in Curriculum, Teaching, Learning, and Leadership from Northeastern University. Furthermore, I am completing my final semester of law school at Rutgers University.
I am committed to the child-centered approach to education that promotes the whole child’s development. I believe educational programming must be academically and socially engaging and offer students core foundational abilities to become passionate and productive citizens. As a servant leader, I strive to expand opportunities for all students and foster an inclusive culture built on understanding, compassion, and respect.
The role of Director of Special Education holds a special place in my heart. I wake up each and every day with a purpose to serve and support the students, staff, and community of Haddonfield. The best part of being a Director of Special Education is seeing students’ joy when they accomplish a task they never thought possible.
I look forward to working with Haddonfield parents, teachers, support staff, and administration, who all serve an important role in encouraging our children to become lifelong learners.
Sincerely,
Dana Blair, Ed.D.
