Polly Mitchell

Greetings friends, families, students and staff:

I am delighted to introduce myself to the Haddonfield School District and the Haddonfield Community!

My name is Polly Mitchell, and I’ve been the Communications Specialist for the district since October, 2018. You are welcome to read my resume to learn what path brought me to Haddonfield, but here is the shorter version.

I began my career as a fifth- and sixth-grade teacher in Haddon Township, N.J. I returned to school to get a degree in graphic design and worked in ad agencies for a few years before moving back to northeastern Pennsylvania. There I began working for a Montessori School, designing and writing their weekly newsletter. I was later hired as the Associate Director of P.R. and Publications at Wyoming Seminary College Prep School, a PreK to grade 12 independent school. After one year, I was promoted to Director and worked there happily for 13 years.

In 2010, I moved back to South Jersey and accepted a job as Communications Director of Girard College, a unique grades 1-12 school in Philadelphia. I spent seven years at Girard, handling print and electronic publications, social media, event planning, alumni relations and news. I came on board in Haddonfield in 2018 and have loved every minute.
