Resume

Welcome to Central Elementary School!

I am so happy to have you learn and grow with us as a Central School Cheetah.

Throughout our school district, we strive to provide rigorous and high quality instruction that focuses on the individual needs of the students and families we serve. Data-informed instruction will ensure that each child grows and learns at a pace and starting point that meets his or her needs. By staffing our school and classrooms with talented teachers and staff, we provide innovative instruction that is student-centered, differentiated and relevant to the real world.

Although we value the academic success of our students, we also nurture their social and emotional well-being. By fostering the growth of our students as people and self-managers, we encourage our students to thrive in today’s ever-changing, fast-paced environments. Central students are guided by the “7 Habits of Happy Kids, Leader in Me.” Leader in Me helps schools create well-rounded learners, uniting students, staff and families around a common goal to prepare students with college, career and life-readiness skills.

Haddonfield schools are inclusive; we consistently celebrate the diverse lives, backgrounds and perspectives of others. We collaboratively develop curriculum, experiences and programs that are informed by and responsive to the reality of a global society, fostering a culture of empathy and integrity in our schools. We arm our students with an understanding and appreciation for diversity that prepares them to be thoughtful and successful citizens of the world.

I value the voices and perspectives of all members of our community. Please contact me at any time if you have questions, concerns or suggestions. I’m looking forward to another great year!

Sincerely,

Shannon D. Simkus
