Dear Tatem Families,
I am delighted to join the Haddonfield School District as the next principal of J. Fithian Tatem Elementary School, effective July 1, 2022.
After earning my B.A. in English from The College of William and Mary, I continued my education at Temple University, receiving an MA in Spanish. Later I earned a Master’s in School Administration from Rowan University.
In September 2022, I will begin my 26th year as an educator. I spent 18 years teaching every grade level from kindergarten to twelfth grade as an English as a Second Language (ESL) and Spanish teacher. I then spent four years as a Vice Principal at Timber Creek Regional High School in Sicklerville. Remaining in the Black Horse Pike Regional School District, I transitioned to Central Administration as the Supervisor of Teaching and Learning and the Supervisor of ELL and Student Success Coaches.
As someone with a strong focus on community and collaboration, it is my goal to build authentic relationships with all members of the Tatem and school district communities. I believe that a strong community will help to assure that our school environment offers our children every opportunity to thrive.
I look forward to getting to know you and your children and sharing the excitement of our educational journeys!
